Good morning Northwest One Library neighbors and friends!
We have a busy June ahead of us - things might be winding down at school but here at the library we are gearing up for summer time. Attached is the library program calendar for June - we've got weekly story times, computer help, yoga, crafts, and more. Also attached are fliers for this year's Summer Reading programs for kids of all ages.
The theme for Children's Summer Reading is "Dream Big!" Children ages o - 12 can come sign up in the library to track their reading and win prizes. It is very important for kids to keep reading over the summer so they don't fall into a reading slump! The teen program this year is "Own The Night" - and is entirely online! Tell the youth ages 12 - 19 in your life to go to: dclibrary.org/SummerReading to register and keep track of their books. Teens get a prize just for signing up and completion of the program enters them into a raffle for lots of prizes - including an iPad!
Teens can always come into the library and register on a public computer or with the librarian too. Just like last year there is also a book review contest where the winners receive mini laptops.
See you at the library,
Bobbie
