Good Afternoon Ward 6!
Mayor Gray is about 24 hours away from presenting his budget proposal to Ward 6, and he wants you to be there!
Within his proposed budget (which you can find by going to budget.dc.gov) contains his plan for funding education and housing. Many people are excited for the renovation of Stuart-Hobson and the opportunities that will exist with the new Rosedale library while others are concerned for Amidon-Bowen ES and the plan for Van Ness ES. Mayor Gray and Chancellor Henderson will be in attendance to take your questions.
Another hot button issue has been the need for additional funding for affordable/permanent housing and homeless services. I know I have been in many conversation with advocates for increased funding. This is an excellent venue to ask your questions.
