GOLD CUP TICKETS GO ON SALE FRIDAY
Tickets for University Row will go on sale Friday and are expected to sell out within days. Look out for an email from us Friday with a link to purchase tickets for the event, Saturday, May 5th. Note that Notre Dame will be hosted in Michigan's tent.
University Row is where DC's finest watch the races--where they mingle among fetching women in sundresses and dapper men in pastels. It's one of the largest alumni social events in the DC area: more than 1,500 guests from over 70 universities will wear their spring finest out to this unique annual tradition! At $135 a ticket, University Row provides the best value at the Virginia Gold Cup. Tickets includes round trip transportation, a full open bar with great liquor and beer selection, and a quality buffet sure to please everyone's palate.
University Row is an all-volunteer event with all proceeds going to serve alumni chapters and student scholarships. ND seeks two volunteers to work a few hours the day of the race for discounted admission, $110. Email Clint Branam (clint.branam@gmail.com) for details.

From July 13-15, the Notre Dame Alumni Association will be holding its newest Young Alumni event, "Summer in the City," in Chicago. The weekend will feature professional programming, a community service project, and social outings like a lake cruise and seats on a Wrigleyville rooftop for a Cubs game.

BOOK CLUB – NEW DATE! April 15
The Young Alumni Book Club meeting has been pushed back to Sunday, April 15. We will discuss Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption by Laura Hillenbrand. This acclaimed author, who also penned Seabiscuit, tells the riveting story of Louie Zamperini, a young airman who survived a plane crash in the Pacific, capture and torture by the Japanese, and a long, arduous journey to rediscover his life's purpose. Exact location is TBD, but meetings are usually held in DC around Dupont Circle. All alumni, as well as friends and family, are welcome to join. Interested? HOUSING REQUESTS
· Laura Lindsley is moving to DC and looking for either a temporary sublet or a long term studio-type apartment in the District. If an opportunity to room with someone long-term in a larger apartment comes up, she'd consider that as well. She's trying to keep my max rent at $1100 and is interested in these neighborhoods - Columbia Heights/ U-street/ Logan circle. Email Laura at llindsley7@gmail.com.
· Stephanie Socias is moving to DC in June and is looking for a roommate. Email Stephanie (socias@nd.edu) to discuss options in DC area, preferably on a metro line.
· Mark Sennett will be interning with the federal government this summer in the northern Virginia area from May 21 - August 10. The three possible office locations that he could be working at are in Reston, Herndon, or Chantilly. He is currently looking for a housing situation, and is looking into various options.
